Comfortably using a MacBook when you're used to the PC paradigm can be a pain. As it turns out, I find that this is usually due to the little differences: directory structures, icon locations, naming conventions, etc. However, the most important thing, for me, is whether or not I have proper command of my keyboard. Home? End? (The
real) Delete? Where in the hell are they?

The following is a list of the shortcuts I use most. Sure, there are plenty more, but this should get you started:
Home
| ctrl+a or cmd+<left>
|
End
| ctrl+e or cmd+<right>
|
Forward one word
| opt+<right>
|
Back one word
| opt+<left>
|
Delete (not BS)
| ctrl+d or fn+<delete>
|
Transpose (BASH)
| ctrl+t
|
Cut (BASH)
| ctrl+u
|
Paste (BASH)
| ctrl+y
|
Cheers.
